Hidden Lake Cabin hosted by St James Vacation Homes
Living up to its name, Hidden Lake Cabin might just be Lake Oconee’s best kept secret. This 3-bedroom, 2-bath log cabin comes equipped with contemporary touches such as central heat and air, wi-fi and flatscreen TVs. Despite the indoor comforts, you will be coaxed outdoors by the panoramic waterside views and sprawling deck with wraparound bench seating. A covered dining area features a gas grill, smoker, and plenty of table space for a family meal. A paved walkway leads you to a firepit that begs for hot dogs and s’mores, or you can continue just a few more feet to the private dock perfect for swimming, fishing, or launching watercraft.
Following a day under the sun, Hidden Lake will welcome you home with comfort found all on one level. No climbing stairs or hearing stomping feet overhead! The living area separates the master bedroom from the guest wing, and everyone can close out the day with Netflix streaming on the large flatscreen TV. During cooler months, the indoor fireplace is the perfect end to a lazy lakeside afternoon.
The three bedrooms easily accommodate 8 people. The master is equipped with a king bed, TV, and private full bath. Sliding doors open to the deck, and Adirondeck-style chairs are provided just off the master suite and offer a secluded spot to sip on coffee while the sun rises. The back guest room features a queen bed, linen closet, TV, and a private entrance to the back deck. The front guest bedroom, with a TV, queen bed and twin-over-full bunk, sleeps 4-5 and is perfect for grandchildren.
The galley kitchen offers a microwave, stovetop oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, double-basin sink, and pantry. You will have everything you need for eating in, including seating for 8. Just off the kitchen are a full-size washer and dryer that will eliminate the stress of riding home with dirty laundry.
If you are curious to check out local life, Hidden Lake is just minutes away from Harmony Crossing, home to some of our favorite eateries and boutiques. Just north on Highway 44, you will find Publix, CVS, and several well-known restaurants that serve excellent food in a relaxing atmosphere. We also recommend visiting the historic districts of downtown Eatonton and downtown Greensboro. Both have mom-and-pop cafes, restaurants, and retail stores that are locally owned and operated. Be sure to check out the seasonal events, festivals, and farmers’ markets, too!
